The City of Kitchener intends to upgrade the underground services to current standards and carry out complete roadway reconstruction of the above streets within the noted limits. The Proponent is expected to complete the pre-design, final design, coordinate all related project needs, tendering, contract administration/inspection, resident/business services during construction, improvements to the roadway, underground services, drainage, and other related infrastructure. All designs must be completed in accordance with the Region of Waterloo’s Design Guidelines and Supplemental Specifications for Municipal Services (DGSSMS) – the most recent version, and the City of Kitchener Subdivision Manual, along with any other relevant City and industry standards (CKSS, OPS, etc.), and community plans. The infrastructure for the above noted street has generally reached the end of its useful life and requires full replacement. Frederick Street between Bruce Street and Victoria Street is approximately 1135 m long. The roadway is approximately 14 m wide and has two lanes a concrete curb and gutter and sidewalk on both sides. |
