AMANDA is a property-based application developed by Calytera Systems of Mississauga. AMANDA is used widely throughout the Municipal sector in Southern Ontario. AMANDA is a mission critical City building and revenue generating application, managing millions of dollars in transactions which incorporates the following core areas: Building, Planning, Fire, Engineering, By-Law Enforcement, Licensing, Clerks, and Utilities and is currently accessed by approximately 225 staff users. The AMANDA Portal is a web-based platform that enables customers direct access to relevant data and workflows, backed by the AMANDA application. Currently, the City of Kitchener AMANDA Portal enables users to access Building Permit data and workflows. We are currently looking to expand the portal to offer online payments for Building Permit fees, and introduce Business Licensing application and renewal workflows that also include online payment options. We are also looking to improve some customer registration and profile management workflows as part of this work.
