This Request for Quotations (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by the Corporation of the City of Kitchener (the “City”) to prospective respondents to submit quotations for Professional Services for the Homer Watson House & Gallery as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). 

The City is seeking a consultant team with demonstrated expertise in heritage conservation, capital planning, and Ontario heritage regulatory processes to support the development of an Asset Management Strategy and Action Plan for this nationally significant site. The successful respondent will apply their professional judgment and discipline specific expertise to deliver a comprehensive, prioritized plan that will guide conservation, upgrades, and potential adaptive reuse of the property. 

The objective of this engagement is to provide the City with a clear and actionable roadmap fo  Homer Watson House & Gallery, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, standards, and heritage conservation best practices for stewardship of the Homer Watson House & Gallery, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, designating by-law, standards, and heritage conservation best practices. Term stewardship of the Homer Watson House & Gallery, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, designated by-law, standards, and heritage conservation best practices.

In addition to the Deliverables described in Appendix B, the City may require Optional Heritage Consulting Services related specifically to the Homer Watson House and Gallery on an as needed basis which may include but are not limited to:

• Heritage advisory and technical support
• Additional meeting attendance
• Preparation, review of assistance with heritage related permit documentation
• Support in the coordination or management of heritage related project tasks
• Other related heritage tasks, should they be requested by the City throughout the term of the agreement
