This Request for Supplier Qualifications (“RFSQ”) is an invitation by the Corporation of the City of Kitchener (the “City”) to prospective respondents to qualify for eligibility to provide Prequalification General Contractors - Williamsburg Cemetery Workshop and Office Renovation as further described in Section A of the RFSQ Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”).

The scope of work includes constructing a new workshop garage and repurposing the existing workshop area to expand office and support spaces. To maintain ongoing operations and minimize downtime, the project will be delivered in three coordinated phases, ensuring a smooth transition from current workshop functions to the new and renovated facilities.

This RFSQ is the first stage in a two-stage procurement process for the selection of a General Contractor to complete the Project. In this stage, the City intends to conduct a prequalification process for General Contractors. Only General Contractors prequalified through this RFSQ process will be invited to participate in the second stage of the procurement process. The second stage of the procurement process is expected to conclude in June 2026 after the short list is determined.
