This Request for Quotations (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by The Corporation of the City of Kitchener (“the City”) to prospective respondents to submit non-binding quotations for Professional Services - Official Plan Climate and Energy Technical Background Study, as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”). 

The City is seeking to retain a consultant (the “Consultant Team”) to undertake the development of the Climate and Energy Technical Background Study (the “Study) to inform the development of a new Official Plan. The Study will include two subcomponent studies that will focus on the following: energy transition and climate mitigation; and climate adaptation. The objective of the Study is to provide the City with strategic direction on establishing a policy framework that supports the achievement of the City’s climate mitigation, adaptation, and energy goals and targets, including achieving an eighty percent (80%) reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. 

The City will only consider quotations received from respondents who have registered with Bids and Tenders and have obtained the RFQ directly from the Bids and Tenders website at https://kitchener.bidsandtenders.ca (the “Bidding System”).
