This Request for Information (“RFI”) is issued by The Corporation of the City of Kitchener (“the City”) for the purposes of gathering information about the marketplace in order to assist in the determination of future purchasing options or requirements. The City of Kitchener is developing a city-wide data strategy, based on the Data Strategy Action Plan developed through the city’s participation in the Bloomberg Philanthropies Data Alliance. This project includes building an inventory of data systems and existing data, supported by a data discovery tool. The city is looking to perform data discovery, inventory, maintain a data catalog and apply data governance policies across city systems, including:
Staff will use the information collected using this tool in coordination with staff engagement to build and maintain a full data catalog. If your software can also support maintaining a full data catalog, the city is looking for a tool that can integrate with the existing software listed above. |
