This Request for Quotations (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by The Corporation of the City of Kitchener (“the City”) to prospective respondents to submit non-binding quotations for Professional Services – Official Plan Non-Residential Technical Background Study, as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”). 

The City is seeking to retain a consultant (the “Consultant Team”) to undertake the development of a Non-Residential Technical Background Study (the “Study”) to inform the development of a new Official Plan (the “OP”). The Study will include three subcomponent studies that will focus on the following: commercial, office and future of work, and mixed use; industrial employment lands; and institutional and community facilities and infrastructure. The objective of this Study is to provide the City with strategic policy direction on establishing and fostering fifteen (15) minute neighbourhoods that are supportive of a range of commercial, office, institutional, and employment uses, and that protect for the continued viability of existing Local Employment Lands.

The City will only consider quotations received from respondents who have registered with Bids and Tenders and have obtained the RFQ directly from the Bids and Tenders website at https://kitchener.bidsandtenders.ca (the “Bidding System”).
