The community relies upon the Cameron Heights Pool for aquatics programming offered by the City of Kitchener (City), though the pool is presently owned by the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB).  The WRDSB is no longer able to support the cost of operating and capital costs for the pool and would like the City to consider operating the pool as a stand-alone facility similar to Forest Heights.  The current entrance to the pool and amenities prohibits the City’s ability to program the pool during the day.  The City and the WRDSB wish to explore the feasibility of designing a new entrance that isolates the pool and its amenities to support daytime use of the pool by the City.
