This Request for Supplier Qualifications (“RFSQ”) is an invitation by The Corporation of the City of Kitchener (“the City”) to prospective respondents to qualify for eligibility to provide Pre-qualification of Mechanical HVAC Contractors as further described in Section A of the RFSQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).

The prequalification process will select up to eight (8) qualified mechanical HVAC contractors to be placed on the City’s Qualified Supplier Roster list. Only those mechanical contractors selected will be eligible to bid on the City’s mechanical quotations for a period of three (3) years. It is the City’s intention that the mechanical contractors are expected to act as general contractors employing subcontractors as part of their projects, when applicable. This Qualified Supplier Roster will be in place from September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2028. 

The City will only consider responses received from respondents who have registered with Bids and Tenders and have obtained the RFSQ directly from the Bids and Tenders website at https://kitchener.bidsandtenders.ca (the “Bidding System”).
