| Description: |
The following is a general but not necessarily complete description of the scope of work to be undertaken: Closed Circuit Television Inspection and Sewer Line Cleaning of selected gravity sanitary and storm sewer mains within the City limits. Formal submission products of inspection findings include: inspection video recordings and PDF reports on DVD\portable hard drive and inspection PACP database on DVD\portable hard drive. Sewer inspection work in this contract will consist of: (1) A scheduled and pre-selected area of sanitary sewers in the city that is part of an annual inspection program, (2) A scheduled and pre-selected area of storm sewers in the city that is part of an annual inspection program, and (3) other inspections of storm and sanitary sewers to be provided on an unscheduled “as-required” basis including “emergency” services. (4) Flushing and inspections of storm and sanitary sewers and sewer laterals (service pipes) related to 2 year maintenance requirements for road reconstruction and sewer remediation projects. The area of focus for the annual inspection portion of the C.C.T.V. program will be broken into two subprograms, one for sanitary sewers (33,716m) and one for storm sewers (68,782m). Both subprograms will be worked on simultaneously by separate crews. The location of these subprograms can be identified by the maps to be downloaded separately as part of Appendix 2 of this tender. Priority may, however, be given at any time to the “as-required” work or 2 year maintenance inspections. The nature of this work will include sewers requiring special study, emergency work, or lateral inspections. The City has additionally undertaken annual rehabilitation programs, flow monitoring, and operational repairs - which may as well from time to time require C.C.T.V. inspection. Any of these “as-required” or 2 year maintenance activities may be located anywhere in the city. It shall be the Bidder's responsibility to ensure all items have been included and that no repetitions of items appear on this tender. Where possible, sections of the work shall proceed simultaneously in order to shorten the time of completion. The sequence of the work shall be subject to the Contract Administrator’s approval. |
