| Description: |
This Request for Quotations (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by the Corporation of the City of Kitchener (the “City”) to prospective respondents to submit quotations for Kitchener City Hall – Mechanical Systems Renewal & GHG Reduction Design, as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). Kitchener is a dynamic, community-focused city in Ontario, and City Hall at 200 King Street West is where residents, businesses, and visitors connect with the City’s public-facing services and decision-making. It’s the main home of municipal administration, including the Mayor’s Office, and it’s where people come for in-person customer service. Council and committee meetings are also hosted through City Hall and are open to the public, with meetings livestreamed where possible, which means the work will be highly visible and closely tied to public trust. For this RFQ, the City is seeking mechanical design and construction administration consulting services to renew key mechanical systems and support greenhouse gas reductions and energy savings at Kitchener City Hall, and proponents should expect a complex, high-profile assignment that requires careful coordination in an active civic building while delivering clear, defensible, sustainable performance outcomes. Mechanical design and construction administration consulting services for mechanical systems renewal and GHG reduction at Kitchener City Hall. |
