Description: 

The City of Kitchener is proposing to implement a forest school education program as part of the existing Kitchener’s Natural Areas Program (KNAP) platform. This program will complement the City’s existing nature based programming and will focus on the implementation of the forest school teaching model as well as provide a variety of additional nature discovery programs.

A qualified Project Team consisting of, at minimum, staff with Forest School Practitioner and Early Childhood Education backgrounds will be recruited to develop and deliver this program.  This program is identified in the 2018 Capital budget and includes, but is not limited to, weekday, after-school, weekend and summer camp type programs.
