| Description: |
This is a prequalification request for general contractors to renovate and construct an addition to the Doon Pioneer Park Community Centre at 150 Pioneer Drive Kitchener, Ontario. The addition will be a one storey structure of approximately 9,100 square feet. At this time, it is proposed to be constructed of masonry load-bearing walls and steel columns with exposed steel deck/open web steel joist roof system. Renovations will include updated washrooms, as well as a new Universal Washroom. The addition will include a commons area, community rooms, offices, a gym and associated storage.
The City’s Architectural Representative, The Ventin Group Ltd. ( VG Architects), Brantford, Ontario will review the Proposals received and will recommended a pre-qualified list of not more than five (5) general contractors. Generals who are successful will be invited to bid on this project once it is ready for tender. |
