This Request for Quotations (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by the Corporation of the City of Kitchener (the “City”) to prospective respondents to submit quotations for Professional Services - Corrosion Cathodic Protection, as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). Kitchener Utilities (KU) requires the services of a Cathodic Protection (CP) Specialist that would provide guidance, and write/review documentation, relating to KU’s CP system that protects the steel portion of the natural gas distribution network from external interference and corrosion. This CP specialist would need to have extensive experience and knowledge in all matters related to CP in order to provide input to KU on how to troubleshoot CP problems, and how to better protect, and consequently, extend the life of KU’s steel pipeline assets. |
