| Description: |
For Pre-Qualified Contractors Only: This project is scheduled to be completed in three (3) separate Phases. Phase A: Site Preparation & Access Road, Phase B: Channel Works, and Phase C: Pond Works. The Contractor shall consult the Contract Documents for staging limits. The Pond 65 SWM Facility Retrofit includes the construction of a 300m naturalized channel to connect upstream and downstream reaches (Phase B), alongside an approximately 12,500 cubic meter water quantity control wet pond facility (Phase C) consisting of 3 cells: Forebay, Main Cell, and Pond Wetland. The wet pond will include a hickenbottom outlet leading to a 71m long cooling facility, as well as installation of an OGS unit at the easternmost storm sewer inlet. A separation berm will run between the naturalized channel area and the SWM Facility and will house the cooling facility. Additionally, construction will include the installation of an armourstone weir at the downstream end of the site, construction of a naturalized wetland habitat within the channel area, installation of enhanced habitat features, construction of Cable Concrete access routes and full site restoration according to the seeding and planting plans. A comprehensive groundwater management plan is required to construct the wet pond (Phase B) and robust erosion and sediment control practices are required to protect the natural environment. |
