| Description: |
The City of Kitchener (the City) is seeking professional services for final design development, construction documents, tendering, contract administration and project completion services associated with proposed infrastructure replacement and redevelopment of outdoor areas at Kitchener City Hall. Previous phases of work have produced a master plan (2016); a functional design plan (2017) and a 90% detailed design which will inform this body of work. The project area is limited to the City Hall property, located at 200 King Street West, Kitchener. It is also important to note that a significant portion of the outdoor area is over an underground parking garage. The membrane of this garage will be replaced so work will extend to the limits of the parking garage, including along College and Young Streets. The redevelopment of Carl Zehr Square is related to improving the functionality of the square as a public gathering space. The redevelopment of other areas is related to the replacement of infrastructure. The successful proponent will be expected to complete all required approvals/permits, all final design work, tendering, in conjunction with City of Kitchener Procurement division, and contract administration, including full-time construction inspection services. |
