This Request for Supplier Qualifications (“RFSQ”) is an invitation by The Corporation of the City of Kitchener (“the City”) to prospective respondents to qualify for eligibility to provide Prequalification of Consultants for Asbestos & Designated Substance Surveys as further described in Section A of the RFSQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).

The City is seeking qualified Consultants to assist with the undertaking of and associated reporting on asbestos and designated substances surveys to ensure compliance with Ontario regulations and best practices. Facilities include community centres, fire halls, office buildings, recreation facilities, arenas, mausoleums, and other uses.

Consultants must be familiar with the testing and reporting requirements associated with Ontario health and safety laws, including but not limited to Ontario Regulation 278/05: Designated Substance - Asbestos on Construction Projects and in Buildings and Repair Operations, Ontario Regulation 490/09: Designated Substances, and the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act.

The City will only consider responses received from respondents who have registered with Bids and Tenders and have obtained the RFSQ directly from the Bids and Tenders website at https://kitchener.bidsandtenders.ca (the “Bidding System”).
