The City of Kitchener is planning to do maintenance on the sediment forebay of Stormwater Management Facility (SWMF) 144, which is also known as Victoria Park Lake. The SWMF is located in Victoria Park; the sediment forebay is located at the upstream of the Lake adjacent to the GEXR/CN Rail tracks. The scope of work includes the excavation of a disposal pit adjacent to the SWMF in the park area and removal of clean material from site, removal and proper disposal of approximately 2,000 cubic metres of sediment in the forebay, re-grading to original design within the sediment forebay, restoring landscaping features on the forebay island and park area, and replacing/repairing displaced armourstones in the forebay island and outlet weirs and regarding / restoring landscape vegetation in the park disposal pit area. |
